Which is the Better Choice for Your Pet: Edibles or Hemp Oil?
Pet Releaf offers many of their wonderful recipes in both oil and Edibites form. While the ingredients that go into each are similar, each comes with different advantages and disadvantages.
Hemp oils are great because they tend to contain a higher concentration of hemp and CBD than edibles. This is simply because there are fewer ingredients in the mix to dilute the active ingredients.
Edibites products contain inactive ingredients, such as barley flour, that are necessary to create the treat portion. Because of this, each treat tends to have about two-thirds less CBD than each dropper full of oil.
But, on the other hand, Edibites CBD treats are much easier to give to your dog because they have added flavors that dogs love.
For large dogs, I recommend the oils since big dogs require higher amounts of CBD to see an effect. Using this more concentrated delivery method will save you money in the long run.
For smaller dogs, you can typically get away with treats since their CBD dose is lower.
Of course, if you have a picky eater or one that is hard to dose with oil, edibles are the better option. They are also the best option for sensitive dogs who tend to get runny stools when they ingest too much oil.
Our Experience of Using Pet Releaf Products
In my personal experience, Pet Releaf products work incredibly well as a daily dose supplement. They don’t have as much CBD as products like Canna-Pet, but because they contain full-spectrum hemp oil, they seem to have a broader effect on overall wellness.
